Keystone Luncheon
2022

May 25, 2022

In recognition of individuals and groups that have provided a lasting legacy to enhance the quality of life for older adults in Lincoln.

The Keystone Award recognizes an individual couple or group who has provided a lasting legacy that enhances the quality of life for older adults in the community.  Attended by more than 200 supporters of seniors in Lincoln, the Keystone Award Luncheon is an annual fundraiser hosted by the Seniors Foundation. Proceeds of the luncheon funds special project needs for Aging Partners such as the new meals-on-four-wheels van used to deliver over 50,000 meals a year to Senior Citizens in Lincoln and Lancaster County.  Proceeds from the luncheon also helped fund the NeighborhoodLINK program that facilitates personal connections by directly linking volunteers with seniors (age 60 and over) or people with disabilities who are homebound and seeking additional help. NeighborhoodLNK was initially created to keep homebound residents healthy, connected, and independent during the physical isolation during the pandemic.

KEYSTONE AWARD RECIPIENT

The 2022 Keystone Award was presented to Kristen Stohs.

Kristen has served seniors for over a decade. She is a former member of the Seniors Foundation, and while on the board, she helped form the Keystone Award and luncheons.

Kristen is also a former co-host of the popular monthly television series called “Live and Learn” that started in 2012.

This year’s award-winner is also a former president and seven-year board member of the Friends of Lied, raising almost $200,000 for the Lied Center in the process.

As a TV co-host, she has logged countless hours of volunteerism on behalf of seniors.  She is the epitome of a person who understands the giving of time, talent and treasure. She’s an ardent supporter of the Seniors Foundation and the work they do to support Aging Partners in our community.
